hey ursula thanks for the comment. yea if you can get a fish eye lense def go for it it's a great investment. the cabin really does look wild for some reason it always reminded me of a poem by Robert Sevice call the cremation of sam magee. Ursula right now i'm saving money to head to your island (ireland) i'd love to talk to you more if you've got the time.

So you enjoy the planning, and the methodical approach.Nice to know there are still some "old school" people left amongst us.We look forward to more of your film creativity.

no see thats why i stay with film, its to easy to nail a shot with a digital camera, you take it and right than you know weather you hit it or miss it, you just don't know there is no "instant gratifacation" forsure. with film you have you chance to capture what you see without being able to stand there and see what you did wrong and attempt to fix it if you missed it. i can't take the same shots i do with digital as i do with film. when i take my shot i know and i know how it's going to come out. An LED screen giving me chances and chances to capture what i see is not what it's about. rely on what you know. the industry is changing but real film is film, no substitute.

By "instant gratification"I was referring to the digital camera versus film.I would find it very difficult to go back to film now because the wait for results is very slow, and the "instant results"of the digital make taking pictures more exciting.

hey Golda thanks for the comment. yes i used a fish eye in this shot hence the curve. i use an old cannon rebel. if you look closer you will see that what i think you thought was snow is actually the stars over head. directly over the fire you can see the north star and all the others spinning around it. instant gratification?

Hey JB,welcome to this site.I guess there will be no instant gratification for you,and by this I mean, film only...If this shot was on the tripod, why do I get a sense of curvature or was it a fish eye lens?

What kind of camera do you use?

Interesting shot, was it snowing???
