Thank you, Steve. I use the channel mixer on adobe photoshop elements. I think this particular shot was a little easier to convert to black and white, because the color shot had a lot of shadows.

It's very difficult to convey subtle shading in B&W when the subject is basically white anyway, and so I think this is a pretty impressive effort.
