Hi Karen,(thanks for the concern) but no, our Lucy Lab is still with us, thankfully. Sadly, the Lucy mentioned in the eagle photo, was my cousin's relative,- a young Mom (22 or so) who died after a brave & hard fought battle with cancer, during which time she gave birth to a baby boy, who will soon be celebrating his 1st birthday.

Labs are great dogs, as you say. we are very attached to our 2 girls. We also have a little "bichon" which we rescued nearly 2 years ago.

Very nice! I have a black lab myself. Loves to swim, but I can never get a decent picture when he's in the water, or shaking off the moisture onto the lens... strikingly lovely.

thanks for the nice comments, Karen and Gary. late with this - labs especially, seem to know how to have a good time. Yesterday we went to visit friends who have a lab pup and an older lab, - they insisted we bring out two yellow girls into their home, - you should have seen the 4 labs all together in the house : ) Maggie has been there several times before, and did remember their older dog and the house, but Lucy was only a pup when there before, and wasn't too sure of things, and wasn't too friendly towards the young pup of our friends. They took some photos so I hope to have some to upload soon.

thankyou, they are a pair of clowns. Maggie, the older one, at left, was to be a Guide for the visually impaired. So she had extensive training, but has now forgotten most of it : ) Lucy never had any training from us, Maggie raised her, she is 4 Maggie is 8. they are beautiful noble dogs.
