The mixture that binds them is thickened sugar syrup. I suppose it must have been kept in a mould to cool. It was delicious.

very unique, and bet it was deelish : ) would like to buy some of this also, as love dried fruit. Is the texture crisp/crunchy, or a bit pliable?
