I suddenly realised just before the eclipse that I didn't know how to turn off the onboard flash unit, so was busy reading the instruction book. Found out a few more things about the camera and must admit to a bit of experimentation during the eclipse, which on hindsight i probably shouldn't have done as I missed out on a few photos. Never mind I have learned for next time.
