Full Lunar Eclipse

Well I was up way before the roosters and got this shot of the Lunar Eclipse. This was taken when all of the moon was in the shadow of Earth.

Hi Karen, Thanks very much :) I was lucky with not a cloud in the sky.

Great job of capturing the color. It was hard to see it here as the clouds began moving in.

Hey Tania, Thanks very much for your wonderful comments on my photos. Remember my camera setting were for the dark moon and using a 75-300mm lens, using them on a bright moon will not work the same. Also the lens you use changes them.

Alan another beauty. Thank you for putting up the camera setting used. I have a wish list of photos I want to get. The moon is one of them that I have not managed to get. I may not get the red moon but I will try (on a cloudless night) to get a white one.

Thanks Anne, Evelyn, A Lovely, and Beverly for your wonderful comments. One nice thing about getting up at 3am is that it was nice and cool. Hey A Lovely your way to kind, I'm just a amateur snapper that enjoys taking photos LOL..

Great shot, Alan!! Ted and I loved to watch the eclipses. One night we heard a little fox crying in our thicket. It had such a sad little note but Ted said they sometimes do that. *g* Anyway, I am so happy you were on the spot and got a great picture!!

I'm glad to see that one of the best photographers here was up

early and got the shots of the

lunar eclipse. In my area the

eclipse was in the far western sky

and at the time when the sunrise was nearing. So I'm waiting to see

if there are any photographers from Maine that was able to get the shots.

Thanks it's a wonderful picture. Alan.
