Let's Go Racing Boys

: Let's Go Racing Boys; This was taken at a little photo shoot we had for the Route 66 Wings And Wheels guys and gals. This is Porsche who is one of the Trophy Girls posing by a very fast 1941 Willys with a 427 big block Chevy motor. We all had lots of fun and I think this year will even be better with us all getting more comfortable with each other. This was our first year doing this and I was nervous taking the photos and the girls I'm sure felt the same. They wanted to try this area outside of Kingman, Arizona. They made it rough having to take the photos almost into the sun.; Equipment:

I think this is one of your better ones I've seen from your shoot. Good framing and angles. The location looks great. The only thing to watch out for is the mountain in the background. It does tend to pull your eye towards it.

I'm not going to let them talk me into shooting into the sun this year. It would be tough wetting down the roads, we would need a water truck or something LOL.. I like the deep blue against the brown background. In this one, your model adds to the picture, but doesn't become the focus like in your other picture with Kelly and the ford (she's wearing red). Out of the two, I'd say that I like this one better though Kelly has a better pose in the other one. You might try for a smaller depth of field to blur out the details of the hills behind even more, which would give more focus to your subjects. If you had the time, it might be fun to see how the pictures would turn out if you hosed down the street. You might get some reflection out of it. (probably not the best idea in the middle of the day in the desert, but maybe early or late might work... just a thought.)
