Exploring Nature

My daughter was exploring the leaves on a boardwalk through Glacier National Park. I used a spotlight effect to highlight her and darken the forest.

What a wonderfully captured photograph. I like the way you edged this

photo. The little child looks so sweet.

Thank you so much for your kind words Vicki! It holds a special place in my heart as we were in one of the most beautiful places with my family..

I echo all the others. This speaks volumes of a young childs totally open curiosity. She's a delight. This is natural and well presented. Vicki

Thank you Silverdebster and Don! It does look like Little Pink Ridinghood.....how funny. Silverdebster, I'm fairly new to PS, I looked for it, but what is a 'gaussian blur'? I'll give it a try if you give me direction! :) Thank you

Very nice capture, I like the spotlight effect too. Looks like a scene straight from Little Pink Riddinghood...minus the wolf.

Good idea using the spotlight filter. The photo's got a lot of impact anyway, with the striking pink, and your filter increases that. I wondered if a slight gaussian blur applied to the trees and distant path might add another element to your effect?
