Coffee Beans

Beans from around the coffee world are available at New Orleans Coffee Works. You might want to check them out on the web or in person:

http://www.nocw.com

My neice works there and is one of the nicest people around.

You do not have to buy them by the bulk. You can buy as little or as much as you want. Ask questions while you are there about the ways of roasting and various other coffee ideas.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, there are roasted and unroasted beans. There are also a wide variety of types of coffee from various places. Coffee comes from Costa Rica, Brazil, Mexico and many other places.

neither did I. the unroasted beans look so much smaller, more like grains or kernels of wheat.

well, that's another one solved : )

Are the light colored ones green coffee beans?

It is a hint though.

well, we already guessed that part, LOL

Thanks for the Cafe Du Monde promo. I think it will be a while before any one guesses correctly on this one. Thanks for guessing but none are correct so far.

I hate to guess this but it either looks like rice, wheat or oat flakes or maggets in the coffee beans. I love doing whatzits...can you tell...lol.

Chicory IS in coffee from New Orleans...good guess. I'd have said that if Dud hadn't already told us it wasn't right. Cafe du Monde sells cans of their own brand coffee online & mail order (not to advertise, but hey! It's my absolute favorite coffee, New Orleans business can use a boost right now, and the Cafe du Monde owners have been VERY VERY generous in helping feed the relief workers and community in this crisis.)

Back to the point...um...my guess. Could it be sunflower seeds in with the coffee beans?

No but thanks for guessing.

Alandra from westcoast Canada on Oct 21, 2005 at 3:00 AM said:

well, it looks like wheat/grain that we feed some of the wild birds, but I can't think what wheat would be doing blended with the coffee beans : )

Thanks!! The dark ones are coffee. You are right. The light ones are not chicory. Guess.

thought the same thing, Carol, coffee beans but I don't know what the light colour "seeds" are. Just heard on CNN about the coffee at New Orleans having chicory blended with it, so maybe that's what it is? but have no idea what chicory looks like. thought it was a plant of some type : )

Are they coffee beans?
