Hummingbird at Monarda (beebalm)

Hummingbird at Monarda (beebalm)rufous hummingbird at a monarda flower (beebalm) which is almost finished blooming. Captured from open front window with telephoto lens.
This plant didn't produce many flower stems this year, hopefully more will grow & bloom next year. The previous monardas we grew "over ran" the garden, so we got rid of them, but this strain was supposedly not so invasive : ) but I would have liked more than what grew. The flowers are especially large and brighter red than any we had before, and supposedly resistant to powdery mildew.
