Green Hills

The rolling hills of Northern, California are particularly pretty at this time of the year. After the rains, the new grass takes root and looks very green and rich in color. I took this shot late in the afternoon of a farmhouse nestled among the hills near Livermore, CA.

Thirty years ago much of the Livermore Valley looked something like this. However, due to recent develoment, the open space in the area has been diminishing. The few square miles of hill country near this ranch is one of the last vestages of undeveloped land in the area.
