not sure if this was a courtship ritual, - but we just chanced to watch it - we were quite a distance away, - had seen the one heron a few mins earlier, but it flew further away, so we followed it - and suddenly realized it had landed close to another heron, so I captured some images. It was interesting to watch. Was using a new 1.4 extender for the first time, so some images are sharper than the others, but some of you might be interested to see them, - this was the first time we'd ever seen anything like this happening, so were quite excited about it :) Initially thought perhaps there was going to be a fight when the one landed so close to the other heron, then started wondering about the courtship possibility, by the stances etc.
