Hello, Mr Grouper

As my daughter and I meandered through the delightful Florida Aquarium in Tampa I overheard some men walking toward us commenting that the huge grouper must have been removed from the shark tank. A few minutes later I reached the tank. Seeing the window packed with observers, I noticed this round window on the other side.

This young girl spotted the huge grouper immediately and promptly stretched out along the edge. The grouper stayed close to her for several minutes . . . now, that's one big fish!

Unfortunately, Alex, I have no idea who she is, so am unable to send her parents a copy! Don, I watched her climb into the ledge when she saw it approach - it was as if the two were bonding in a way. She had no fear of the huge creature and even the sharks gave it a wide berth! (Actually, if you have your diving license, it's possible to go into the tank for 15 minutes at a time - in a shark cage.) Vicki
