Hay in Field Over Winter

I have passed the bales of hay and wondered why they

weren't taken to a building before winter. They are

interesting to view so they have served a purpose.

This is what you tend to see in paintings. I think it is lovely. You are very good with your composition.

Thank you for the comments about my garden. Yes, there is a Crocus in the mix. I like them very much.

Janice.

Thank you Gminniss, Kelly and Jas for viewing my photograph. I'm glad Gminniss told me of how people care for the bales of hay. I pass by often and kept thinking it was wasting the hay leaving it out.

I love this photo. It has been a long time since I've seen a sight like this.

The bales are rolled in this way so that they do not have to be taken to a barn. When the snow melts, the water just runs off the sides without soaking the interior of the bale. It is a good way to keep hay safe over winter.
