Hawk on wire in our front garden, with wind ruffling its feathers. We were just on our way out with camera etc - to go "shooting" in the farmlands, when DH noticed this hawk on our property. This one drops by here quite regularly.

At one point, the hawk was running along on the lawn, below the shrubs, planning to enter inside the bushes from below, rather than trying to fly into the bushes to catch the songbirds, which he'd attempted a few times without success, so he's devised a different tactic now :)

Lucky to get these images here at home, as had no luck in the farmlands today.
