Free Drinking Water

This image is of a Water Fountain mounted beneath a Victorian clock which is on Shanklin sea front, Isle of Wight.

Many were erected in London as early as 1850's, as memorials to well-known people.

Majority of the London one's were erected in church yards, to encourage the poor people to use the churches.

Many are still in working order today.
