Thanks for the comment Alandra,I'm glad you enjoyed it.Yes, it is a Beech tree,it doesn't seem to be a fast growing tree and so far I haven't seen any beech nuts on it. Maybe the squirrels get to them before I see them

Planted one of those at a house at Abbotsford many years ago, for the reason that the coppery coloured leaves remain most of the winter. would like to go back and see how much the tree's grown since.
