The border really adds a lot to this tulip picture.

I am overwelmed by your comments and to say that I was not too sure of the perception of this type of framing. Again thanks to each and everyone.

echoing the other comments, very pleasing image. I love the way the frame seems illuminated at each side, enhancing the flower. And also like the way the frame resembles brushed silver.

The overall effect is excellent. Your framing is a lovely accent and the colors are quite evocative. Vicki

A very effective and moody shot. Interesting to hear how you did it technically.

Mary I used the radial gradient, sorry I just remembered.

Thanks to Lorraine, KM, donwrob and Mary Sham for your comments.

Mary I use Photoshop CS2, I created a rectangle than inversed, picked it and added a yellow gradient and used curve to reach this effect, but mostly it's a trial & error.

The lighting and color are subtle and create a beautiful effect.

I like the effect OB. It is a beautiful portrait and has a dream-like quality. Nice framing too. What editing program did you use?
