Lavender fields

: Lavender fields; Traveling to Hawks Bay I smelt a strong smell of lavender. we passed some hedges and there it was rows and rows of lavender. Very beautiful site all flowering at once. when we came back I had to stop to take a photo. A wonderful shot and I love the cropping. I agree with km about the colour contrast. Most of the lavender fields I've seen have been in the south of France where it's so dry that you never see grass that green amongst the lavender!
