I try and always list the lens I used in the "tools" section above. In this case the lens is a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L. This is a very fast Canon professional lens made for digital SLRs. Given it's zoom range and speed, this type of lens is often used for portrait(s), individual or group as well as indoor photos when light is limited. It is a popular lens among wedding photographers. In the case of this photo, I was testing out it's macro capabilities.
