Magnolia

This Magnolia was high in the branches of it's tree,not being scared of heights I clambered carefully onto the house roof and positioned my self safely and zoomed in to this beautifully open Flower.

I slightly improved the exposure but left the color alone as it was pleasing already and cropped it to locate the main part of the image into the magic third of the frame.

I like the side on view rather than a more traditional top perspective. And the detail of the flower parts (not sure if these are anthers or styles) with their delicate hook like tips really comes across well.
