November First Sunset

Tonight's sunset was spectacular. A late rain only enhanced the colors - a rainbow tried to come through but was lost before a lens could grab it. We went to a nearby store for an ice cream. I had my camera poised for whatever, and was treated to this dynamic vision. It almost looks as if a brush swept through, altering the light and shadows - but this was the view.

Thank you, Doug. Now why do I hear the "Layers Man" thinking of ways to utilize this image???

That was one of the things I loved when I was transporting RVs by myself with my pickup truck. I loved driving during the early morning hours and in the evening. When my back was to the light source I kept looking in my side mirrors to check the sky's colors. It never got boring!

Beautiful sunset capture Vicki! I love waiting to see what happens every day I can. No two are exactly alike and that is what makes them so special. You nailed a good one there. Don

Thank you Alandra and Carol. I agree, Alandra - I don't know how many times I'll glance up from something I'm doing inside, see some wonderful colors . . . run outside with my camera - and either the colors are gone . . . or I forgot to replace the memorystick/battery!!!!!!! With the nights falling so much earlier, the "grab" window is really reduced. grrr!

lovely and unusual/unique 2-toned type of sunset, Vicki. It's amazing how fast sunsets and rainbows change, as you mentioned

Thank you for your generous comments, Mary. Isn't that the oddest color break?

Stunning capture and the colors

are amazing. Parts of the sunset look like a painting. Rated/voted
