This little dog died early this year protecting children from two attacking savage dogs, this little guy stepped in between the dogs and little children. The vets were unable to save George.

George was front page news for several weeks through the country, and overseas.

Manaia now has a bronzed george in the centre of town, for being such a little hero.

The two savage dogs were disposed of the following day.
