This is the Coastal Walkway in New Plymouth. Personally, I think it's the best thing since sliced bread. From where I took the picture, you can see the walkway stretching into the distance. It goes to the port, which you can see near the sugarloaf rock (Paritutu) & that chimney (the thermal Power Station). It takes me about an hour to walk from here to the end of the breakwater & back again, and it goes for just as long the other direction. A real asset for our city, and well-used by young & old.
