Chalmette Battle Field

This is where the battle of New Orleans was fought. The rampart you see is part of the original which was there during the battle. The cannon is similar to but not the exact cannon which was used during the battle. The monument in back was added years later and is called a centopath. It is similar to the Washington Monument.
