Thanks, Alan, for your kind and appreciative comment. Actually, that thing in the grass is the glass lens of a floodlighting unit! I didn't really notice it until you pointed it out, but that's probably simply because I knew it was there! Also, when you see the full size uncompressed version, it's much more obvious what the thing is, and somehow I think it makes it less distracting than the vague smudge which is all you can see at this resolution.

Excellent composition, colors, and focusing. I feel cloning out the trash or bird? at the bottom in the grass would help. It keeps drawing my attention. Still a awesome photo of the cathedral. You are so lucky to live around all these great old buildings.
