On Their Way to Canada

On Their Way to CanadaA flock of Canadian Geese heading home at sunset. There seem to be several flocks in the area. Every evening at dusk, I see several hundred of these graceful birds heading into the setting sun. I have no idea where they go for the night, but it is a daily ritual.
They are difficult to photograph in flight, because they almost always seem to fly overhead when the light is too low for a propoer exposure. In addition, they give little warning that they are heading over, (maybe five seconds of their honking before they appear low overhead). They pass over in an instant and far away, making a well focused shot also a challenge.
