Falcate Orangetip Mated Pair

Falcate Orangetip, Anthocharis midea

This mated pair stayed mated for more than three hours, and allowed me to pose these photos inside my house. After I found them it started to rain so I brought them inside and shot these shots with my back door open to use the natural light.

Taken in Orange Co., NC on March 28, 2005.

Thanks for the comments on this! :-) Can you believe it here 9 1/2 hours later this pair is still mated outside in a slight misty rain. Must be true love...
