A beautiful bobcat and I am glad it was not me it was after - even though it is beautiful. We find scarey things in Nature fairly often. *g* Great shot of the bobcat though.

I see there are lots of questions about this photo. The bobcat did not kill the deer - but found it and utilized it. They hunt small animals, like rabbits and mice. And they are not dangerous to humans. I believe a lynx is somewhat larger.

When we first came to Canada, I saw a Lynx on a tree branch while walking alone on a country road in the Cariboo district of BC, Canada. It had tufts on its ears and seemed to have a sort of "grin" on its face. It didn't make any move to get off the tree branch. Didn't realize they were big enough to kill a deer. Did I read someplace that they are becoming an endangered species?
