Baby Great Horned Owls April 2009, testing wings

: Baby Great Horned Owls April 2009, testing wings; baby Great Horned Owls at a park near us, very high up in a cottonwood tree. Note the gorgeous huge wings! These 2 have not left the branch close to the nest yet, but there is one more who has just fledged, and it was in a nearby tree, higher up. Lucky I captured that yesterday, as we went back there again today, and these 3 owlets had fledged, - we only saw one of them waaaay high in the other cottonwood, where one was yesterday, and the adult was there in that same tree. Maybe these 2 were out with the other parent for flying lessons :)
