Andromeda Galaxy

Andromeda GalaxyM-31, the Andromeda Galaxy. Not as colorful as the Orion Nebula, but a very fascinating subject. A spiral galaxy like our own Milkyway. It lies a jaw dropping 2.9 million light years from earth. Think about that, if you could travel at 186,000 miles a second, you are still looking at a trip that would take nearly 3 million years one way. Better pack a lunch, huh? Can you imagine how many stars must be like our own sun with earth like planets there out of the 200 billion + stars it contains? Even if you don't like this kind of stuff, it has to make you wonder. This was taken at ISO 1250, 60 sec expousure. Thanks for looking. Don
