The shades of yellow/gold you captured are lovely. I also enjoyed the little bit of history on Aspens. It made me do a google search to read more about this tree. :)

Thanks Brian. I have heard the same about aspens. Possibly the largest living organism.

I think Aspen is a very good name for a business.

We had a dog named Aspen for 17 years. But he wasn't yellow. He was a black lab. On of our boys named him Aspen following one of our trips to Aspen, Colorado.

I've heard that aspens are possibly the largest living organizism on the planet. From what I understand, an entire forest of aspens could be part of the same tree. Apparently, when a root reaches the surface, it shoots up another trunk so every quaking aspen in this photo might be connected via a massive root system.

One of my businesses had the name Aspen because even though it started out very small, it had the potential to grow to something very large and magnificent.

Thanks Jim. I hope that you are able to make another trip here. The Arizona desert is an awesome place during the cooler months.

Love this shot Gary. It reminds me of my time in the U.S. back in 1972

Thank you all. Right now, there is about 3 feet of snow up there. That's good. It will keep those aspens thriving.

Thanks Alandra. We have no aspen trees here on the desert. I miss them. I grew up with aspen trees all around in the Rockies of Colorado. I am glad we can get up amongst them in the Arizona high country.

the beautiful lighting and colouring caught my eye right away in this shot, Gary. lovely and restful

Yep. On the desert, some of the trees are so short you have to dig a hole beside them if you want to benefit from their shade. Anything over two feet in height is called a "tree".
