Thanks for your nice comments Alandra. This was a bloom from the same plant as 'Arum Lily' (also in my gallery). I have split the original plant up and now have 4, spread around the garden. They all have about 10 blooms each on at present and are doing really well! Must get out and take some shots of it, that's if the recent rain hasn't spoilt them all.

I'm so glad your fern is still returning year on year; it's funny how different plants etc. remind you of different people or events? :)

very nicely presented, Jas, lovely. And a special and lasting memory for all the family members, to have a portion of your Dad's lily for their own gardens. It's wonderful how plants can evoke such memories and offer so much meaning to people. I have a lovely fern in our back garden that my Mum brought a tiny piece back from Auntie's garden, years ago. It returns faithfully year after year, despite the raccoons wandering thru' the area when it's first sprouting up thru the earth each spring. It's thriving once again this year. I hope if we ever leave here, that I'll have a garden where we can take this fern with us, as it means a lot to me.

Thank you Ann, Vivienne and Carol for your very kind comments here. Yes, the lily is particularly dear to me and I have a 'Christmas Rose' (common name), which my Mother particularly liked.

Thanks for looking. :)

A beautiful memory of your dad, mine loved roses and Panseys, I always make sure there is either one or the other in the flowers I take for his grave.
