Good morning, Don. It's a pretty impressive car - just sitting there. But the size of that blade would really move some major snow . . . you'ld want to stand back quite some distance with a telephoto lens if you saw it in action, as I'm sure it would spray out quite some distance. It's good to be back online with my own computer! Thanks for your words of encouragement! Vicki

Very cool capture Vicki! That thing looks down right mean. I bet it was a sight to see it coming down the tracks flinging snow like a maniac. It would be fun to ride in the car and watch out the windows. I'm glad to see you back posting too! Don

Hi there, lorraine and Carol. By the looks of things stacked up inside against the windows I would assume that this car is no longer in service, lorraine. It is intriguine to see how the tracks are cleared, Carol. Vicki

An interesting looking thing, would it still be in use when needed or is this no longer used?

We figured the same thing too, Golda - that the engine pushed it along the track - unusual in that many of our western train plows are on the engine. From the back it appears to be a caboose and there's obviously a stove for heat in the corner. I couldn't see in the windows to check the interior condition. Vicki

Looks like a caboose with a snow plow attached.I wonder where the power to push it comes from,or maybe it ran in front of the engine.Interesting.
