The little bit of white above the eye could be a lack of minerals but the white around the eye is normal,I have a turtl(25yrs) that after coming out of hibernation has this white tinge, but as they become more into spring /summer and eating and basking in the sun helps that disappears.

Great clarity Carol,I think it's a frog,Australia has billions of cane toads no chance of running out of toads then, but some frogs are becoming rare, especially the tree frogs, regards Vince

another that I missed earlier, Carol. Agreeing with all the other comments, very different looking frog, both green and bronze colours on him/her :) I've never seen one with that circle near the eye. great shot

What an unusual frog. I have never seen one with two tone coloring like that. Great capture.

Thanks Don for commenting and the info on the frog.

Great shot carol! What a pretty frog. Looks like his back half was dipped in bronze paint. He is a frog for sure. Toads have much shorter back legs, and they hop around, but frogs have the big back legs for leaping. Don

Beautiful capture Carol. It looks like a frog to me. I tried to do a google.com and I found frogs with that circle beside the eye but no toads...so I'm not sure.

Frog? Or toad? Either way, I agree with Alan that they are wonderful creatures, sadly threatened in most of their habitats. I love the green and bronze colours in this fellow.
