Reflecting Gator

The reflections on the water in the canal by our campground were beautiful - I was really pleased at how this alligator's slow movements through the water added to the effect with barely a ripple.

to me . . . I kept watching the side of the canal to make sure there wasn't a break where it could rise up quickly. They can run 60 miles per hour in short bursts - that's too fast for me!
