Thanks very much for commenting and advice TimKlenk. I'm afraid I have hardly used a flash as its an area I am a little unfamiliar with but I can see how it would help greatly so am going to experiment and see how it goes. Thank you :)

Nice composition but you've got back lighting, a photographer's nightmare. It puts a shadow on the face and loses details. Try a fill flash to rectify.
