River Reflection
 | One of many small rivers in the area around Vanderpool, Texas. Mountain Cedars and cottonwood trees line the banks. The water is incredibly clear after being filtered through the limestone.

Waiwakaiho Rivermouth
 | This is where the Waiwakaiho River meets the sea. Feeding from Mount Egmont/Taranaki, it can get pretty ferocious in heavy rains but this day it was just quietly flowing about its business.

Dam Dropping
 | The river was flowing well over the dam but to cold for our dam dropping today, a little more of a summer sport. I think I went the hardest way, up a bit of a bank scramble under a fence and into a paddock, check for bulls, none, a great view of the dam, I will be going back for photographs when the guys go back. In the summer.

Taughannock Falls form the Bottom of the Gorge
 | A three-quarter mile walk that can easily take an hour each way brings one to the base of this spectacular waterfall from Cayuga Lake where its waters empty out. By the time I spotted the lofty waterfall through the trees I was using my spare battery and my memory card was guarding more than a hundred images!

Tioga falls after a good rain
 | Tioga Falls, Ft. Knox, after getting a lot of rain. This was about half a mile from where I parked at. I hiked the trail there and just as I got there, it started to rain (aargh!). I was able to get this pic of it at normal aperture and shutter speed before I had to put the camera up.
The only thing I did to this picture afterwards was run it through the Neat Image program which only took out a small amount of noise.
