Wandering Slug

Being completely puzzled by the silvery trails on the carpet in my son's room, which we'd noticed for a few days, I told him to look for a snail maybe. The search turned up this surprise, at LEAST 10cm long stretched out & very slowly wandering across the carpet (yes....he was actually moving when this shot was taken lol)! I looked him up on the net & he's apparently called a 'Yellow Cellar Slug' - guess no-one told him we don't HAVE a cellar! Don't know how or why he got in but after a quick photo shoot he was quickly invited out! I don't mind visitors but I've got limits!!

Tractor Pull

At a country fair in Western NY. This was in the "Toy" Tractor Pull event, with this guy trying hard but grinding to a halt as the shifting weight on the sled becomes too much to pull. I think he won the event.

Harriet the turtle

This is Harriet. She is one of Steve and Teri Irwin (Crocadile hunter, Australia Zoo) large turtles. She is extremely old. She is special to us as they have her birthday 15 November the same day as mine.

Colne valley dawn

This is a view of the Colne valley near London just before sunrise on a summer's day. I love the colour of the sky, and the misty distance. At this time of day everything seems to happen more slowly as the sun prepares to rise and time stands still - hence I've entered this in the "slow" contest.
