A Touch of Summer

This Hanging Basket is just one of many that I have made-up for display outside our Public House and around the garden.
I buy the plants when they are very young and grow them on, until they are ready for planting-up.
Flowers in this basket are, two kinds of Surfinia's deep pink and purple, Lobelia Mix trailing and upright
and Impatiens cranberry, which you are unable to see due to the rapid growth of the Surfinia's.
All three images were taken in Macro.

Wild Purple
 | These pretty little wild flowers were grownig along the Lake Logan shore in the Hocking Hills area of Ohio. I caught them in morning light that seemed to work for them pretty well. Lines and Angles at One Fifteen
 | Taken at a clock tower at a bus station in Decatur Illinois. The lines and angles just seem to work out right. Added some enhancement in photoshop by making the sky "bluer" with the paintbucket fill tool, and I tried to give an overall Kodachrome effect by increasing the saturation overall and by decreasing the yellow saturation. Lastly, I decreased the overall brightness and increased the contrast slightly.

Purple Wildflowers
 | Delicate clusters of purple flowers and variety of other wildflowers from a tiny clay ball of seeds that were sat in clay pots for the last 2 months. I had to take this picture at dusk because the sunlight and flash were washing out the vibrant color. I enjoy the macro.
