A closeup of a pink ladyslipper taken while on a stroll on my sisters farm.

Anne, I too remember scholdings from my Mom not to pick the ladyslippers. This was on my sisters property near Concord MA. A few of the pics I have posted came from there, taken while I took a stroll thru a portion of their land. Thanks for the comments everyone.

How wonderful to find this growing naturally. You have captured the beautiful colours and wonderful detailed veining on the bloom. Very nice. :)

This is such a wonderfully captured ladyslipper. I recall seeing them
around the camps at the lake when I was a young girl.

I remember my first encounter with a lady slipper. I picked it and brought it home. My Mother gave me a spanking. *LOL* Lady Slippers were too precious to be picked. But how very beautiful they are. An excellent capture of a precious (in West Virginia) flower!
