Canon - 18-55mm EF-S F 3.5-5.6 USM SLR Lens

This is the kit lens that comes with some of the Canon DSLR's. It is a nice lens that is built pretty good. Hey for the price you can't go wrong... The quality of the photos are really nice, they give you this lens that makes very nice photos, but it is a low end lens and they know you will want to get a upgraded one after a while. It focuses really fast and does not use your battery up any more than any other lens. I use this lens a lot when taking car shows and drag racing shots. I do hit the max zoom a lot and want more. I have discovered that using a circular polarizing filter adjusted to just give a touch of the filters effect  the photos quality improves quite a bit. This is a great kick around general photo taking lens. You can most likey pick one up through ebay or someplace for half the price listed.
