I thought it would be fun to see everyones photos that have had the most hits and how many hits. Maybe even add in a little something about the photo.

It's easy to do this, here are the steps.

1. On the right side of any page click on "Manage Images".

2. At the top of the list of photos click on "Hits" then scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see your photos name with the most hits.

3. Now over to the right of your top photo click on "View".

4. When your photo opens, right click on the photo then pick Properties.

5. In the little window that opens copy the "Address (URL)"

6. Now come to this thread to add your reply. In the reply area type in your photos name and number of hits and anything else you would like to add. Then after your comments hit your enter key to get on a new line. Then click on the "IMG" button.

7. A new little window will open. In the box right click and paste the URL and then click ok. Your link for the photo is added into your message.

8. And finally if you want to make sure the link is working go to the bottom of the page and click on the "Preview" button. If all is ok then click on the "Add Reply" button and your done....

If you would also like to add a link to your photo just open your photo then copy the address and pastes it into your message. It will show up as a link like under my old shed photo.

To start things off this is my top photo "My Old Shed" that has 3,236 hits. I was out taking some shots of the light snow we had. I looked at my shed and thought what the heck and took the shot. I had no idea this photo would be viewed so many times.

What a great activity... I'll bite.

165,377 hits. This is an image of the Loch Ness Monster... or maybe not. But it's got quite a few comments debating that very question.

http://www.thelensflare.com/gallery/p_dinosaur_472.php

The picture has that many hits because it generally shows up pretty high for variations of the phrase "loch ness monster" when people search in Google (both web and image search).

I've posted links on 10-15 other webpages (other forums, a couple of blogs, a Squidoo page, a StumbleUpon page, etc) to this picture with the anchor text (the text you see when you click) as "loch ness monster". This has helped the search engine's place it near the top of the list. It also helps that there's a lot of text on that page discussing Nessie. When the show the Waterhorse came out, the interest really peaked and there were thousands of people viewing it per week.

It's really not hard to drum up some buzz about your pictures. Most of the ones that I've promoted a little have several thousand views. If anybody is interested in learning more, please let me know.

What a fun photo Mike.. This brings back memories of watching Laural and Hardy back in my younger days.

This is my top photo. It has 4,811 hits so far and was posted in July 2007.

I was at my friend's son's wedding, and went around the marquee taking a few 'snaps' with my little pocket digital. I cropped it and framed it with a vignette and complimenting coloured frame.

Hope you like it. smile.gif

Hi Alandra, I fixed it for ya. What a great photo of the Hummingbird, absolutely beautiful!! They should be showing up again real soon.... Hey click on the edit button on your message and you can see how the code? for making your photo show up is. You had the address right, I just replaced the [URL] with [IMG] I think you clicked on the http:// button instead of the IMG button.

Here's mine, "Letchworth Park Waterfalls", with 10,725 hits. It started to take off after winning the "Waterfalls and Rivers" contest in July '07 and getting a lot of comments. I never thought it was that great, it was shot on a dismal late fall day, scanned from film, and worked over quite a bit in an editing program to pull the image out of the "mud". Thanks to all who find it worth viewing!

Bruce

This photograph of Shaw's Corner has received 525 hits. It is in Ayot St Lawrence, a remote village along narrow country lanes in Hertfordshire, England and is where George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) lived for more than 40 years.

Giant Lily

This lily grew in my garden a few years ago. It was very tall and the blooms
were around nice inches across. It surely stood out in my little garden.
