Gosh, I know I haven't been on this site for ages. But just thought I would let you all know that this image won me Honours and Judges choice at my Camera Club this year. Awesome aye!

I like the photo just the way it is. The size of the Sailor against the backdrop of boxes emphizes a feeling of loneliness.

Thanks Mary for your critique.

It was a really sunny day and the port was full of boats, ships, people, vintage cars and military vehicles. Perhaps he was escaping away for a different view of it all. The colour version is lovely too with the constrasts of the wood and white sailors suit.

This realy is a wonderful picture. To me, it is the proportion and black and white which makes it so powerful. His expression too makes you want to know more!

Thanks Deborah, Thank you for your feedback.

I'm wondering what this man was thinking or contemplating.

Nice capture Mel, and I don't think it matters having so much of the boxing showing. It emphasises the size of the stack.

Thanks Alandra, I do feel cropping some of the top will help it's visual impact.

I hope this sailor didn't mind me taking his picture, I'm sure he knew I was.
