Tonight I photographed this wild duck and if you look closely you will see something that I have never seen before, the green is not even as if it was affected by the poluted lake water.

Thanks to each and everyone for your comments. As for the head I really have no idea, but I went back and I saw 2 of these ducks still there with the same pattern on their heads.

Beautifully captured wing motion of this graceful bird. I wonder if perhaps the head feathers were wet since they like to duck their heads into the water to feed. Lovely capture.
