We planted one of these trees out back here, when we moved here 20 some years ago. Another name is Silk Tree, or Albizia Julibrissin : )

It grew quite well for a few years and we liked it, it had been trimmed of lower branches before we bought it, so the top part formed like a "canopy" over the upper part of it, very pretty.

But guess it didn't get enough sun at the back of our place, so eventually something happened and the trunk went rotten, so we took it down. DH just finally got rid of the last bit of rotted roots and short bit of trunk a few days ago, coicidentally. I think the hummingbirds like the nectar from the flowers,think we read that someplace.
