Sandia Sunset

Wintry sunset -- shortly after we received 25 inches of snow in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Sandia Mountains are so named because of the red/pink glow they get at sunset. Sandia is the Spanish word for watermelon.

Wow, I don't think we ever received that much snow when I lived in Albuquerque in the early 60's. I like how you captured the pink glow.

What a great shot. Looks hot and cold all at the same time.

A very beautiful shot. The colour of the mountains is even more striking against the snow.
