Sunset - Mauna Kea Summit

What a place to visit. Just shy of 14,000 feet elevation. Cold, thin air. Very difficult to breath. But so pretty at sunset.

Thanks Alan and Brian! The 2 structures are the 8.1 meter Gemini and the 3.6 meter Canada-France-Hawaii observatories. There are a total of 13 telescopes/observatories on the summit, considered by many to be the best place on earth for astro observation. Don

What a beautiful view and composition... The side lighting is great from the suns reflection on the building to the golden glow on the snow.

That's a very cool looking structure.
