A bronze sculpture and memorial to the firefighters of London who fought the fires started by the blitz bombing during the 2nd World War. St Paul's was famously photographed during the war with smoke all around it from the bombing fires, so it is appropriate that the dome of St Paul's looms over the statue as if in gratitude.
