Lets mate, THEN I'll eat you!

Green Linx Spider, Peucetia viridans This is male and female of the same species, they were getting along well. The smaller male always acted with caution. The females are known to eat the male after mating, which did not happen. I didn't see them mating in the hour or so I spent watching them.

At first, these bugs look really gross and wicked - especially after looking at those barb-like hairs growing from their legs.

Then after staring at them for a minute or two, the beauty of their colors mixed in with the blue flower and the green hues in the background makes this a wonderful picture. It's balanced very well, and the subjects are interesting.
